Mountain View Christian Church is not a ‘business’ that provides a ‘service’ to those who attend on Sunday; rather, we are a community who together have ownership of the ministry that occurs at our facility and in the surrounding community and the world.  Each person who calls Mountain View their home has a part in providing for the ongoing ministry, upkeep and improvement of facilities, and support of our staff and missionaries.  Our entire ministry at Mountain View Christian Church depends on the generosity and faithfulness of everyone who considers this church to be their family and home, today and in the future.

Giving to Mountain View is about much more than paying staff salaries or utility bills.  God calls each of us to be generous and faithful in giving gifts and tithes as an act of worship to Him and as an instrument of personal-growth for ourselves.

Some accuse churches of being ‘all about money.’  There may be some who are like that, but ultimately, the church is a family and so, just like your family at home, we have bills to pay, obligations we’ve taken on, and investments in our future.  When we take an offering on Sunday mornings or accept donations, it is no different than family members working to support each other and the activities that we’ve chosen to do.

Those who are guest, visitors, or new to Mountain View are not asked to give unless they wish to.  When you decide to call Mountain View your home, then we encourage you to do your part to help support our ministry, because then it has become your ministry too.

One of our core values at Mountain View is financial transparency.  Our monthly finances are posted in our lobby for anyone to see.  We account for every penny in our ministry.
