Ministry Vision Donations

At Mountain View Christian Church, we have a vision for the future of our church.  It is our sincere hope that we will be known in our surrounding community for three things: our love in action for God, our love in action for one another, and our love in action for our neighbors.  This requires us to evaluate how we live our lives, how we prioritize our schedules, and how we spend our money.

The Mission House

Imagine a place that provides real world ministry experience for college students while helping MVCC and the community around us.  Mission House would offer Christian college students a home to live in and scholarships to help them in college.

In return, these students would tithe their time to serve God in two ways:

  • 8 hours a week serving at MVCC, helping with office tasks, property maintenance, etc.
  • 8 hours a week serving in the community, doing things like tutoring in local schools, helping elderly and shut-ins, working with the poor and homeless in our immediate community, etc.

This ministry would provide outreach to college students, to our community, and be a blessing to our own congregation.  To achieve this vision, we need a home or the funds to purchase a home donated to MVCC along with money for scholarships.  The home can be donated as part of an estate plan and the funds could also be donated as part of such a plan or as an ongoing support pledge.

Please prayerfully consider if you can help with this ministry by donating property or money.

Launch Goal: 2012-2014

Needs

  • Donation of a Home, Townhouse, or Condo
  • Scholarship Funds between $5000 & $20,000 per year

If you can donate a home or scholarship funds for this project, please contact our office at (602) 955-9414.

Community Spaces

We have been gifted with a beautiful property and buildings by the generations of members who have come before us.  They funded these buildings with their money, repaired them with their hands, and improved them with their time and hard work.  We would like to make some improvements to make our property more welcoming and better suited to fellowship.  Our goal is to add community spaces, places where members of our church and the surrounding neighborhood can spend time in fellowship.  There are three parts to this project.

  • First, we want to create a park in our back yard with picnic tables and grills so families and friends can picnic together after church.
  • Second, we want to build  a fellowship area in the rooms on the west side of the sanctuary with comfortable seating and tables for fellowship after church.
  • Third, we want to improve our existing Fellowship Hall for church and community events.  Donations for  these  projects can be in single large gifts or in faithful monthly support.  Please prayerfully consider if you can support this ministry through donations.

Launch Goal: 2011-2013

Needs

  • Approximately $30,000 for all three projects
